Militia Immaculatae – Maximilian Kolbe

This short film is mind blowing! His life and works are explained in a dramatized manner. Pray for us Maximilian Kolbe

Kolbe used the printing press to defend the catholic faith, when it was attacked by anti-catholics during the war. Rome was on the brink of civil war.

Maximilian kolbe pursued and endured. He lived a life of austerity; a hero for all to all generations. A great saint in times of desolation. During the war, Maximilian was killed by the socialist party (Nazis) in the concentration camp.

O Mary conceived without sin, Pray for us who have recourse to thee.

The Sacraments in 2 Minutes

What is a Sacrament?

St. Augustine in the 5th century describes a sacrament as ‘an outward and visible sign of an inward and invisible grace’ Historically, the word sacrament developed from the Greek word ‘mysterium’ and the Latin word ‘sacramentum’. Mysterium means ‘hidden or secret’.

1. Baptism

Baptism is the sacrament of Salvation and the Door to all other sacraments.

2. Confirmation

Confirmation provides a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which helps the confirmed Catholic lead a mature Christian life.

3. Eucharist

The Eucharistic sacrifice is the source and summit of all Christian life. It commemorates the death and Resurrection of Christ.

4. Penance

Through Penance, the faithful receive pardon through Gods mercy for the sins they have committed.

5. Anointing of The Sick

This Sacrament offers the comfort of God’s grace to those who are ill.

6. Marriage

The Church has a rich tradition in its teachings on sacramental marriage and covenantal union.

This sacrament joins a man and a woman together in a life-long covenant of self-giving love.

7. Holy Orders

Holy orders is the sacrament by which bishops, priests and deacons are ordained and receive the power and grace to perform their sacred duties.

About Spiro – My Pet Dog

8 years ago we adopted this lovely pet dog. Since then, he has been a part of our family.

We had both our good and bad days. There were times when he was ill and times when he was our protector. I remember the days when he literally put his life on the line in-order to defend us from other rash street dogs.

Spiro is a friendly dog. He is mix-breed, with long soft fur, dark brown eyes, strong, well-built and beautiful. He has a sharp eyesight and an excellent memory.  Spiro is well-behaved. Although in the past we had some hens, rabbits and ducks. He never took them for his food. Of course that was training, but he learnt rather quite soon.

We take good care of him and treat him as one of us. We love him very dearly and so do many others who visted him.

I have seen around 12 of our pet dogs come and go during the 22 years of my life. We know that life is short which is why we must  try to live it to the fullest genuinely without vice.  Do you have a faithful companion ?

Roses are red. violets are blue, oh dear nature I love you.Who does not love gardening ?! The beauty of flowers gives peace to our restless minds.

Creation brought me closer to God……I thought and pondered – if creation is so marvelous, then how sublime would the creator be.
